  • The Consult

We'll go through all the available options for you during our initial consultation, and you'll get to know the several different class styles that we offer couples.

You'll get to tell me all of your dream band ideas and we'll get to know each other a little bit.

You'll get to ask all of your burning questions and we'll decide if we're a good fit to work together.

    Consultations are always commitment free.

  • Dates + Estimates

Once we've paired you with your perfect class, we'll determine what your desired materials will cost.

We'll determine your ring sizes, how wide and what shape your rings will be, and what kind of style you're interested in in order to give you an estimate for your material costs.

This is also where we can discuss all of your available material options (including using your own heirloom gold) and we'll compare calendars and choose your date.

  • The Day Of

    Where the magic happens!

We'll work together for one full day (or two) to create your future heirlooms entirelyfrom scratch.

This process is an involved, all day (or two day)event!

You'll leave this one of a kind experience with professional looking rings and a special feeling of accomplishment knowing you made the rings you'll wear for a lifetime together.

FAQ's

What If I'm not local?

Katie welcomes you from anywhere! If you're coming from out of town, we'll give you all our recommendations for places to stay and things to do while you're here. Lots of people like to 'make a weekend of it'! There's no better place to do that than Greenville, SC.

You just might fall in love with our lovely little city while you're here!

What If I have never made anything before?!

You're in the right place! This class is tailored for beginners, and Katie works with students with ZERO experience on the daily.

Your rings will still look professional, and Katie will be working one-on-one alongside you throughout the entire process.

Do we get to use a torch?

YES! And, the big torch, no less.

The guys love this part!

Do we have to make a plain ring?

Absolutely not! We have lots of different texture options as well as traditional and modern finishes.

We've also had really creative clients who have made really interesting out-of-the-box styles!

If there's something really special or particular you'd like to include, let's discuss it and hash out whether or not it's a good fit for a class.

We've made rings cast from actual twigs from a sentimental piece of land AND from molds taken off the skin of a couple's favorite elephant.

Nothing's off limits!

How much does it cost?

Good question -- with a not super easy answer.

It's no more expensive than having a custom ring designed is, and it's not necessarily less expensive, either, but it can be. It really just depends on the design!

The most expensive part of the process tends to be the materials, as we are always at the mercy of precious metal costs (which fluctuate all the time).

What if I want diamonds?

That's something we should discuss on our first call.

You won't be able to set them (that takes MANY hours of focused education and practice and is beyond the scope of this type of beginner class), but if we plan for them and leave space for them, Katie can set them for you after you've made your ring. We can include estimates for that if you're interested in adding a little bling.

The same thing is true of hand engraving.
